Blogging on Databases

Technology contstantly baffles the world at large; it is even baffling to those within the technology world. This may seem puzzling to some, but there are so many directions a conversation can take you, by simply uttering the word - "technology".

This blog in general will focus on the wonderful world of web hosting. My company, Infosaic Technologies, is a Windows Web Hosting company which supports all the latest Windows technologies developers use to make web sites fun and functional!

Today let's talk about what a database is? Well in simple terms, a database is little machine behind your web site which can hold information in a way that systematically categorizes various pieces of information as designed by the database developer. If you have a form on your web site, a database can be hooked up to the form and the database would house information which was input into the form.

Databases are great ways to store information. More complicated systems allow you to access the database to retreive this information in an organized way.

Infosaic Technologies, supports basically all the databases out there.
Like: SQL Server Express, SQL Server 2005, MySQL, Ms Access.

Developers are able to access their databases by connecting to them using a Web Based Control or with software like Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
